Why do importers prefer China?

- Experiences of investors around the world -

For decades, China has dominated global trade in many sectors and fields, and it is no secret to anyone that the fierce Chinese competition despite all the difficulties that arose after #Corona_2019, coincided with the rise in shipping prices, which in some cases reached the price of the imported machine itself!

althoug; China remains the first destination for many importers.

In SJ, we have contacted a number of merchants and businessmen who have explained to us their point of view as to why they prefer China over other import destinations.

Mr. Ahmed is an investor from the United Arab Emirates. He applied for pricing a complete production line for recycling tires for small and medium cars. The required specifications were “standard” as he described it. Therefore, it is assumed that the prices are ready at the manufacturing factories. At least roughly.

El-Sayed Ahmed Company contacted several laboratories in China, an Arab country, and a foreign one, and the first country to send quotations with full specifications was China, with attached pictures of the entire production line and pictures of the shape of the product after recycling within less than 5 working days!

The price was in US dollars, 137 thousand for one production line exactly as required.

As for the Arab country, it submitted the price offer more than a month after the request, without including the full specifications.

While the foreign country submitted an offer after a month of correspondence and with the presence of a third intermediary company accompanied by several online meetings, it submitted a price offer of 675 thousand dollars for a two-section production line!

That is, with an offer that does not correspond to demand, with doubling the number of workers required for operation!

Mr. Ahmed adds sarcastically: "At this price, I need 200 years to recover the capital in light of the high operating costs in Dubai."

China was in the experience of Mr. Ahmed's company

In addition to meeting the required specifications completely,
She also respected the businessman's time
And she never doubted whether it was real or not. She presented him with an offer according to her products and continued to produce them without pressure or skepticism, as was done by both Arab and foreign countries, which led the investor to distress and discomfort because he needed to prove his identity and confirm his full information every time he tried to obtain an offer. Price only!

.

Here, the investor asked us an important question:

"Shouldn't laboratories learn from China to respect businessmen's time and send their offers directly as required? Isn't getting quotations part of the companies' job and they should present it to everyone who knocks on their door?"

The Egyptian investor requested a number of private school chairs, and he sent the request to companies, including Chinese and foreign ones. As usual, the first to send prices is China, with full specifications and details, including shipping prices.

The foreign country made two offers, both of which are on the factory floor, more expensive than the price of seats in Egypt

When we asked him about his opinion, he said, "If there is no problem with the delay in shipping from China, I would not have thought for a minute about importing from it."

In conclusion, H Company, which has two branches around the world, one of which is in Dubai, has communicated with furniture manufacturers around the world

China submitted several quotations, including samples, which were sent by air to the company's headquarters in Dubai

10 other companies entered the tender from an emerging industrial country, which was unable to draw the attention of Company H to any of them, and was unable to provide suitable and non-competitive price offers, not to mention the great delay in submitting price offers and responding to e-mails, which forced Company H to seek the help of a local brokerage company to speed up the process, but Unfortunately, 10 companies from this emerging country failed to even enter the tender!

We summarize previous experiences according to the point of view of Arab and foreign investors about the reasons for their preference for China as follows

1- The speed of response of Chinese companies

2- Professional handling of e-mails and prompt response to them

3- Dealing with all customers with the same degree of importance and providing them with the same level of service quality

4- Sending samples quickly if requested by companies

5- Price offers are completely according to the investor's request

6- Commitment to deadlines

7- The most important thing is to provide competitive price offers globally, which prompts investors to turn a blind eye to other problems that China suffers from

In conclusion, we say that the emerging industrial countries in general must benefit from the Chinese experience - and provide price offers to everyone who knocks on their door according to his request

Benefit from the excellence of the quality of its products

And also the advantage of proximity and lower shipping costs compared to China
